I launched Forward Collective Group in 2016 to realize my own dreams for transformation. The firm’s consulting approach synthesizes my own background to build real solutions creating real change. I’ve been a consultant, an academic and researcher, a corporate executive, a public sector leader, a middle manager, and a front-line employee. I know each role’s vulnerabilities; that’s why I launched a firm to optimize their strengths.

About Our Founder & CEO
Kalyn Romaine is an accomplished organizational psychologist, executive coach, business transformation expert, and former corporate executive with nearly 20 years of experience driving impactful change across diverse sectors. Her expertise has been instrumental in shaping the trajectory of organizations ranging from high-growth unicorn startups and multinational giants to mission-driven nonprofits and large-scale public sector agencies.
Kalyn’s in-house experience has transformed Amazon, The Walt Disney Company, Zapier, and the City of New York. More than names, they are a testament to her versatility and effectiveness in navigating complex organizational landscapes. Her global perspective is a career hallmark, taking her beyond her roots in Detroit to the world, including Chicago, Los Angeles, Brazil, Türkiye, and South Africa. This exposure to diverse cultures and organizational structures has honed the ability to craft innovative and globally relevant solutions.
A lifelong learner, Kalyn’s academic foundation is as impressive as her professional achievements. She holds degrees from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, DePaul University, and Adler University, where she is currently completing her Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology.
Kalyn’s expertise is further strengthened by a robust set of certifications, including ICF’s Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential, HRCI’s Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) , a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt designation, Prosci’s Change Management Practitioner designation, USIDHR’s International Business & Diplomatic Protocol certification, and Gallup’s Global CliftonStrengths Coach credential. These credentials highlight her proficiency in business transformation strategy, change management, process improvement, and executive development.
As the founder of Forward Collective Group, Kalyn is passionate about empowering organizations to not only achieve their goals but also to cultivate a sustainable momentum that drives continuous growth and evolution. This approach extends to her community, as Kalyn founded the nonprofit, Forward Collective Investments, to reinvest in the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders. Kalyn further shares her expertise through the Fast Forward Podcast and her debut book, Evolution to Equity.
